Fire-Rated Ducts

UL 555S

Required for shafts penetrating fire barriers. Must maintain fire rating integrity throughout the system.

Duct Insulation

NFPA 90A

Must be non-combustible material with flame spread index ≤25 and smoke development ≤50.

Grease Ducts

NFPA 96

Must maintain 18" clearance from combustible materials and have proper access for cleaning.

Flexible duct connectors cannot be used as fire dampers and must not compromise fire-rated assemblies.
